Callon Young Reporters: Kirsty, Megan and Natasha

Hi, we are Callon Young Reporters and we are trying to make Callon a better place.

We do it by interviewing people, puting it on our blog so people from other areas to see what Callon is really about and its not a bad place to live our raise your children. This project was started by Teresa coming from People’s Voice Media in Manchester.

We interview people with a flip video camera. Our names are Megan,11, Kirsty,13, and Natasha,11. We are trying to tell people the truth about Callon and have already have been asked to go into other places around Preston. We want to make links with similar groups from around the country.

Callon and Fishwick Remade pond project

This is a video about Callon and Fishwick Remade pond project, which is a scheme to make the countryside around Callon more attractive. This pond project will suit everyone from children learning more about nature to adults being able to relax and go fishing.

The building of the pond has been funded by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust and it is expected to be finished by early 2010 after it has been made a suitable environment for the fish.

We will give you regular updates throughout the project.

All About Callon Young Reporters

This is the original group of Callon Young Reporters but  unfortunately two of the members dropped out. This whole project was started by  Teresa from People`s Voice Media coming from Manchester to teach us about journalism.

What do you think of Callon?

These are our first ever interviews as  Callon Young Reporters. We went round the communinty asking locals what they think about Callon and as we expected we got good responses.
